Welcome Marilyn Ann

Marilyn Ann Johnson was born May 1 at 7:05 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz, and was 21 inches long. I went to the hospital that morning to be induced, spent many hours in labor, pushed for almost 2 hours, and ended up having to have a c-section. Steve has been amazing, taking care of both Marilyn and me. His instincts have really kicked in, and he's way better at swaddling her and changing her diapers than me. We were able to come home yesterday, and we are both already exhausted (the fact that I'm on so many painkillers doesn't help). Marilyn is eating and pooping constantly! We're both just so happy that we don't even care that we both got about 3 hours of sleep last night.

I'm giving in!

So, all of my friends are starting blogs for their families, and since Steve and I are about to become a family of 3, I figured it was time for me to give in and create a blog for us. Marilyn will finally be with us in 2 weeks! I can't believe it's already that time. The nursery is almost ready, and I have TONS of clothes to wash for her arrival. My doctor made me stop working for the 2 weeks leading up to the birth, so I should have time to get everything ready.
